Killer Radio Presenting / Podcasting Super Quick Tip

5/16/2020

Everything you say needs to have a beginning, middle and end. And I mean EVERYTHING! In the last 18 years, I've seen soOoOOoOoOO many presenters waffle and waffle. They think they're amazing by just 'giving it;', when in fact they're just talking cow poo. And trust me, I've heard sooooo much cow poo over the last 18 years.

Before you open your gob, know EXACTLY what you're going to say. Know how you're going to start your presenter link and MORE IMPORTANTLY know how you're going to finish it.

Ask yourself this: how are you going to introduce your next item?

Random waffle is baaaad; prepared speech is awesome.

So, do you know what you're going to say now?

    Ashley..

is an ex BBC, radio studio manager, and the ex manager of Radio Kings, the hospital radio station for King's College Hospital. He's presented on three FM stations and waaay too many community stations.

He loves radio training having been a radio trainer at five community radio stations. He especially loves beating good radio sense into naughty presenters!

Every now and then he may blog some radio training tips through (ahem!) comedy. Hey, why be conventional!
